      Your First Dental Visit

      Welcome to Harmony Medical Group

We're thrilled to have you as a new patient and take care of your dental needs. At Harmony, your comfort is our top priority. Whether you're new to the area or just seeking a fresh start with a dental care provider, we're here to ensure your first visit and every appointment thereafter is welcoming and stress-free.

New Patient Registration & Visit Duration

Registering as a new patient is a simple and straightforward process. If you're a UAE resident, please bring your Emirates ID. For tourists, a copy of your passport will suffice.

For new adult patients, the first visit usually takes around an hour, while children's first visit typically last between 30 to 45 minutes. If you have any recent X-rays or dental records from your previous dentist, please feel free to bring them with you.

We will request you to fill out a brief medical history form, which includes details about any preexisting health conditions, allergies, and your current list of medications. This step is essential to guarantee your safety and ensure that our care is tailored to your unique needs.

      Your First Dental Check-up

As a new patient at Harmony, we will see you for a comprehensive dental evaluation.

We will check your teeth, gums, jaws, and soft tissues for signs of decay, infection, malocclusion, and oral cancer. We will also assess existing dental works such as fillings, crowns, and bridges to see if they are functioning optimally.

We may take X-rays of your teeth to check for any hidden problems, such as cavities between teeth, impacted teeth, or bone loss. Following this evaluation, we will discuss the findings with you and develop a treatment plan if necessary.

      Your Child's First Dental Check-up

With children, timing is key. Please ensure your child is well-rested and fed on the day of the visit. Bring their favorite toy, blanket, or book to provide an added sense of comfort and security.

We will examine their teeth for signs of cavities, check their bite, and assess oral habits such as thumbsucking or pacifier use. We will give you advice on teething, proper oral hygiene, and a healthy diet. This is the perfect time to raise any concerns you may have about your child’s oral health.
