Dr. Abdul Nasser Hachem is a highly experienced German and Lebanese board-certified Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, with over 35 years of dedicated practice in the field of dentistry. His extensive expertise spans various areas of oral and maxillofacial surgery, with a particular focus on dental implantology and orthognathic surgery.
His academic journey began with a Doctor of Medicine (DMD) in Stomatology from the University of Iași, Romania in 1984, followed by a Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) from University Charite, Humboldt University Berlin. In 2001, Dr. Hachem earned his PhD in Medicine from the University of Leipzig, Germany. In 1992 and 1993, he obtained German Board certification in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery.
In addition to his clinical work, he served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Leipzig and Humboldt University of Berlin and is currently a Regional Faculty Member for the AO CMF, an organization dedicated to advancing education in craniomaxillofacial trauma and reconstruction.
After relocating to the UAE, Dr. Hachem spent ten years as a Consultant in Maxillofacial Plastic Surgery at Mafraq Hospital, Abu Dhabi, followed by two years at NMC Royal Hospital, Abu Dhabi. He currently serves as a Board Member Examiner at HAAD/DOH for the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Licensure Examinations and Privileging. Over his career, Dr. Hachem has played a key role in pioneering advanced procedures for craniofacial trauma management and tumor surgery using the navigation system.
Dr. Hachem’s commitment to cutting-edge techniques and continuous education ensures that his patients receive top-quality care tailored to their specific needs. His expertise extends to a wide range of procedures, including orthognathic surgery, oral maxillofacial surgery, dental implantology, head and neck cancer treatment, salivary glands surgery, genioplasty, dental alveolar surgery (surgical removal of impacted teeth, difficult extractions, microsurgical endodontics), treatment of TMJ disorders, and the management of sleep apnea syndrome.
