Dr. Amer Owayda is a results-oriented Specialist Orthodontist in abu dhabi with over 10 years of clinical and teaching experience. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and a fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontists.
After earning his dental degree (DDS) from Al Baath University, Syria in 2014, Dr. Amer pursued postgraduate training and was awarded a Master’s Degree in Orthodontics and Maxillofacial Orthopedics from Damascus University. In 2024, he completed his PhD in Orthodontics from Hama University. He also served as a Lecturer at Hama University and Al-Wadi International University in Syria.
Dr. Amer has several articles published in international journals. In 2023, he and co-researchers received the Thomas M. Graber Outstanding Article Award from the World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO) in Chicago, Illinois.
As an orthodontist, Dr. Amer is an expert in treating all types of malocclusions and the use of orthodontic appliances (removable, fixed, extraoral forces, mini-implants, lingual appliances, and clear aligners).
He speaks English and Arabic.
