Frequently Asked Questions

Laser dentistry uses focused beams of light energy to perform a wide range of dental procedures with greater precision and comfort than traditional tools. The laser targets specific tissues — removing decay, reshaping gums, or whitening teeth — while leaving surrounding areas untouched. This results in less bleeding, reduced swelling, and faster healing.

Laser dentistry covers a broad spectrum of treatments including cavity detection and removal, gum disease (periodontal) treatment, root canal therapy, gum reshaping, frenectomies, and minor oral surgery. It is used for both hard-tissue (teeth and bone) and soft-tissue (gum) procedures.

Yes, laser dentistry is a safe and FDA-cleared technology that has been used in clinical settings for decades. Our dentists are fully trained in laser procedures. Patients wear protective eyewear during treatment. The precision of the laser actually reduces the risk of damage to surrounding tissues compared to traditional instruments.

The cost varies depending on the procedure, complexity, and number of sessions required.

No, laser dentistry is generally not covered by standard dental insurance plans in the UAE. However, our team can advise you on payment options and help you explore what your specific policy may include. Please contact us for guidance.

Most patients experience little to no discomfort during laser dental treatments. The laser's precise, low-trauma approach minimises tissue removal, which means less bleeding and faster healing. Many procedures require little or no anaesthesia, and patients consistently report that recovery is easier compared to conventional methods.

Yes, laser periodontal therapy is a clinically proven and highly effective treatment for gum disease. The laser precisely targets infected tissue and harmful bacteria while preserving healthy gum tissue. Patients typically experience reduced pocket depths, less bleeding, and faster recovery compared to traditional surgical methods.

Laser dentistry is suitable for most patients, including those with dental anxiety or sensitivity. It is especially beneficial for patients who want minimally invasive treatment with faster recovery times. The best way to find out if it is right for you is to schedule a consultation with one of our laser dentistry specialists.
